Whose it for?
- Landlords
- Property Managers

When is a Notice of Partial Payment used?
Issuing notice as soon as possible after the rent is short paid helps landlords stay on top of the tenant’s mind and gets them ready for prompt legal action if it becomes necessary.
Why is a Notice of Partial Payment used?
Landlords use this notice to protect themselves from the tenant claiming that they thought the acceptance of partial payment was the landlord agreeing to settle for the lesser amount.
What if the tenant still doesn't pay?
Depending on the terms of the lease and the province where the rental unit is located landlords will have certain options available such as serving the tenant with a notice of termination or notice to quit. If tenants continue to not cooperate eviction may be necessary.
