What is a Cease and Desist Notice?
A Cease and Desist Notice is a document used to formally demand that a person or business stop a certain action or activity. The notice is not legally binding, however, if the recipient does not stop a Cease and Desist Order can be obtained.
Why is a Cease and Desist used?​
A Cease and Desist Notice is used to get the attention of the recipient and as a last warning before legal action is taken against the person or business receiving the notice.
